Modern Aesthetic Surgery: Body Correction

Today, not only women but also men strive to have a slim, beautiful figure. Most often, people are unhappy with excess weight, but rather fat deposits on the waist, hips, buttocks. How can you get rid of them? There are different ways: diet, sports, massage, medications. But they do not always help. The most radical (and effective) is plastic surgery. Plastic surgeons work with all parts of the body. They will not only get rid of excess fat folds, but if necessary, add the missing volumes, give a new shape to the figure, tighten sagged skin.

What exactly does aesthetic surgery of the body?

A common operation that involves pumping out excess fat from certain areas of the body. In this case, fat can be removed not only from the abdomen, but also from the buttocks, thighs, back, neck, etc.

They carry out the operation through small punctures or cuts, after which practically no traces remain.

Liposuction should be done if:

there are local excess fat deposits that distort the contours of the figure;
ugly fat folds;
fat deposits that remained, despite other ways to reduce weight.
Often, liposuction is performed together with another aesthetic operation – abdominoplasty.

The fat that is pumped out during the liposuction process can be used for another aesthetic operation – lipofilling.
In contrast to liposuction, this is the procedure of transplanting one’s own adipose tissue to other parts of the body, where there is not enough volume: on the buttocks, chest, legs, hands, face. Adipose tissue taken from those areas where its surplus is injected under the skin, and thus the volume of the corrected area increases.

Abdominoplasty – plastic abdomen
This is a serious surgical procedure in which the surgeon removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen.

This operation is shown when:

the so-called skin-fat apron;
flabbiness of the skin of the abdomen;
scars, postpartum stretch marks;
divergence of the muscles of the abdominal wall.
The operation is performed under general anesthesia and lasts up to 4 hours. After it, either one horizontal suture remains (classical abdominoplasty), or two sutures – horizontal and vertical (more serious intervention with a large excess of tissue or a strong divergence of muscles). There is also a mini-abdominoplasty – tightening the skin on the abdomen.

For a better effect, abdominoplasty is supplemented with liposuction, while excess fat is first pumped out, and then sagging skin is excised.

Buttock lift
Buttocks are tightened in different ways: the excess skin is excised, implants are installed or autoimplants are made from their own skin, lipofilling is used, and thread reinforcement is used (filament lifting).

Operations on the buttocks is carried out in the following cases:

with large and wide buttocks;
with wide and flat buttocks;
with buttocks sagging due to age-related changes;
optional – if a woman wants to change the shape of her buttocks (and get, for example, Brazilian buttocks).
There are many techniques for performing an operation on the buttocks; the surgeon selects a specific type based on the individual characteristics of the patient.

The operation is performed under local anesthesia or general anesthesia is used, it lasts 1.5-2.5 hours.
Mammoplasty – breast surgery
This is a very popular area of aesthetic body surgery. It includes changing the shape, size, contours of the mammary glands, correction of the areola and nipple.

Most often we are talking about breast augmentation, but there are other types of mammoplasty: breast reduction with a lift and a change in breast contours – a lift.

For breast augmentation, implants or endoprostheses consisting of a silicone shell filled with a filler are used. There are a lot of endoprosthesis types. They can be round or drop-shaped (anatomical form), silicone gels, biogels, and saline can be used as fillers. By structure, they are smooth and textured. Each type has its pros and cons, so the choice of a breast endoprosthesis can be a difficult task.

The operation is performed under general anesthesia and lasts 1–4 hours.

Brachioplasty – plastic arms
This is a less well-known type of aesthetic surgery – the correction of the shape of the arm from the shoulder to the elbow joint. The operation involves the excision of excess skin and skin tightening. As a rule, the indication for such an operation is the loss of elasticity and sagging of the skin due to age-related changes. Sometimes the plastic of the hands is complemented by liposuction – the removal of excess adipose tissue.
